In Lithuania, the international military exercise “Iron Wolf – 2024-II” will start on October 7, which will last 10 days. This was reported by European Truth in connection with a statement by the Lithuanian Armed Forces.
It was noted that the exercises will take place at the training ground named after General Sylvestras Zukauskas. More than 3,200 Lithuanian and allied military personnel and 700 units of military equipment will participate in them.
Citizens of some regions of Lithuania were warned about the movement of military equipment on the roads in connection with the exercises.
In addition to the Lithuanian military, representatives from Belgium, the Czech Republic, the USA, Luxembourg, Norway, the Netherlands and Germany will take part in the exercises.
The military will practice planning and conducting offensive and defensive operations day and night, as well as inter-unit communication.
Exercise Iron Wolf is held annually in the spring and fall to assess the combat readiness of the battalions comprising the Iron Wolf Infantry Brigade and the full integration of the NATO Forward Presence Battle Group.
