In Feodosia, in the east of occupied Crimea, on the night of Monday, October 7, a large oil depot caught fire. Some Telegram channels wrote about it and published videos from the scene of the fire. The fire was also confirmed by occupation authorities and Russian media.
According to preliminary data, the fire occurred after a UAV attack. Before the fire, local residents heard explosions.
According to the ASTRA channel, the Marine Oil Terminal JSC caught fire. This oil depot has been attacked by drones before.
The Feodosia oil transshipment terminal is the largest in Crimea in terms of the volume of transshipment of oil products. There are two such terminals on the peninsula, the second one is located in Sevastopol.
In March 2024, the oil depot was attacked, then a fire also broke out, but it was extinguished in an hour and a half. This tank farm was also attacked in December and November last year.
