On the night of October 5, 2024, the invaders launched an attack with three Kh-59/69 guided missiles from the airspace of the Kursk region of Russia. Also from Kursk and Cape Chauda in the occupied Crimea, the enemy launched 13 Shahed-type attack UAVs. The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Telegram.
Air defense worked in the Odessa region. Anti-aircraft missile forces, mobile fire groups and electronic warfare units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces worked against enemy drones. The sky defenders managed to shoot down three Shaheds.
The PS claims that a dozen more Russian drones were lost locally in the north and south of the country, and there was no information about casualties or damage.
It is also stated that as a result of active counteraction by electronic warfare systems, the guided aircraft missiles did not reach their targets.
Let us recall that on October 3, a Russian attack drone Shahed-136 attacked the private sector of the Belarusian city of Kalinkovichi. A video appeared online that recorded the characteristic sound of a drone flying and the subsequent explosion due to the fall in a private building in the city.
