Ukraine will receive preferential financing from the Republic of Korea for the first time.
Today, October 2, the Minister of Finance of Ukraine Sergei Marchenko signed a loan agreement with the Export-Import Bank of Korea to raise $100 million. USA, the ministry’s press service reports.
It is noted that in April 2024, an agreement was signed between the governments of Ukraine and the Republic of Korea, which allows Ukraine to attract loans in the amount of up to $2.1 billion during 2024-2029.
Raising 100 million US dollars will be the first financial support that will go to the State Budget of Ukraine from the Republic of Korea, the ministry notes. — The loan is attracted for a period of 20 years, the interest rate is 1.0% per annum. The grace period is 5 years from the date of signing the loan agreement.
