Due to Russian reluctance, repair crews waited more than a day for permission to begin repairing the line damaged by the invaders.
Ukrenergo repair crews resumed power supply to the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant after Russia’s shelling the previous day. Ukrenergo reported this on Wednesday, October 2.
The Russian attack on the power facility took place on October 1 – the invaders damaged one of the 330 kilovolt overhead lines supplying the nuclear power plant.
It was noted that repair crews waited more than a day for permission to begin repairs, but due to Russian shelling, they got such permission only the next day.
Ukrenergo noted that the line has been restored – and the occupied Zaporizhia NPP can receive electricity through both the main and reserve lines.
As reported, the enemy attacked the substation and cut power to one of the power lines of the occupied Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, which is why the station is again at risk of blackout.
Let’s remember that a month ago Zaporizhia NPP was also on the verge of blackout. The Russians then damaged one of the two power lines from which the station receives power supplies from the Ukrainian energy system.
