French President Emmanuel Macron condemned Iran’s massive missile attack against Israel on the night of October 1 and called for the latter to stop the operation in Lebanon, reports French television channel BFMTV.
The country’s leader noted that France has put its forces in the Middle East on high alert because of the escalation.
Macron called on Iran-backed Hezbollah in Lebanon to stop actions against Israel, Israel to stop military operations as soon as possible, and all parties in the Middle East to “show maximum restraint.”
According to him, France plans to organize a conference in support of “the people of Lebanon and its institutions.”
Remind you that the head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, said that the European Union condemned Iran’s attack on Israel and called for an immediate ceasefire in the Middle East.
