On September 30, the High Anti-Corruption Court decided to partially address the claim of the Ministry of Justice against the Russian billionaire ME Shelkov, PJSC VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation for the sanction application issued for paragraph 1-1 of part one of Article 4 of the Law “On Sanctions”. The press service of the department reported this on Tuesday, October 1.
The court recovered the assets from the state, including the claim rights of the companies controlled by Shelkov for about $29 million and 7 million hryvnias.
At the same time, the court refused to collect the blocked funds of VSMPO-AVISMA in bank accounts.
Shelkov is the ex-chairman of the Rostec division and the owner of the largest producer of titanium.
The court’s decision does not enter into legal force and can be appealed by the parties to the case within five days from the date of publication of the full text of the decision on the website of the High Anti-Corruption Court.
