The first snow fell on the territory of Ukraine on Monday, September 30.
This phenomenon was recorded on Mount Pop Ivan Chernogorsky in the Carpathians. Not only did it snow there, but it became seriously cold – the air temperature dropped to 5° below zero. The Montenegrin Mountain Search and Rescue Post reported this on Facebook.
As of 9:30 on September 30, 2024 on Mount Pop Ivan – fog, wind – north, 20-22 meters per second. The air temperature is -5⁰, the message says.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center informed that today it will be cloudy and rainy in the western, Zhytomyr and Vinnytsia regions. For the rest of the territory, weather forecasters promise partly cloudy skies and no precipitation.
Let us remind you that Ukrainian weather forecasters have recorded a serious deterioration in air quality in the eastern and northeastern regions. There are more polluted particles in the air in Sumy, Kharkov, Poltava, Dnepropetrovsk and Nikolaev regions. All this is connected with the “throwing” of dust and smog from Russian territory by an atmospheric whirlwind.
