The Kremlin wants US presidential candidate Donald Trump to achieve the repeal of two laws in Ukraine if he wins the election.
These are laws on language and prohibition of the Moscow Patriarchate.
This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, the Russian BBC service reports.
According to him, Russia is ready to “resolve the problem based on eliminating the root causes of the Ukrainian crisis” – refusal to join NATO, as well as the abolition of laws on language and the forbidden Moscow Patriarchate, which “infringe upon the Russian-speaking population.”
If Mr. Trump can repeal these laws that we are talking about, that will be a step forward. It’s as easy as shelling pears to do – just go and vote,” Lavrov said.
People’s Deputy of Ukraine from the European Solidarity faction Irina Gerashchenko has already responded to Lavroov’s statement.
And in Ukraine they want Trump to cancel Putin. At the same time, I understand that only our Armed Forces can ensure the abolition of Putin and his regime,” she wrote on her Facebook page.
