Germany will provide additional hundreds of millions of euros in military aid to Ukraine.
The day before, the Bundestag agreed on the German government’s proposal to increase funding for military support to Ukraine in the amount of about 400 million euros. This was reported on the website of the German federal government.
It is noted that Russian armed aggression caused enormous damage to the cities and infrastructure of Ukraine. That is why Berlin will provide an additional 170 million euros in the short term to restore Ukrainian energy infrastructure.
German deputies also approved an increase in funding for military support to Ukraine by approximately 400 million euros. This money will allow the purchase of additional air defense systems, tanks, drones, ammunition and spare parts, which will effectively strengthen the Armed Forces of Ukraine in defense.
Let us recall that on September 26, President Vladimir Zelensky announced that the United States had allocated new military assistance for Ukraine in the amount of $7.9 billion. The assistance package will include, among other things, an additional Patriot air defense battery, other air defense and interceptor assets, drones, long-range missiles and air-to-ground munitions.
