Prices for goods in Ukraine have increased.
Thus, in August of this year, compared to August 2023, wholesale prices of industrial producers increased by 31.2%. Prices within Ukraine increased by 35.0%, and outside Ukraine – by 6.7%. This was reported by the State Statistics Service.
The department notes that in the production of food, beverages and tobacco products, prices increased by 10.5%, including within Ukraine – by 10.8%, outside Ukraine – by 9.2%.
The State Statistics Service reported that the greatest increase in prices affected the production of dairy products – by 17.8%, including within Ukraine – by 16.7%. Meat production also increased in price – by 16.4%, including within Ukraine – by 16.4%.
It is also noted that prices for sugar producers fell by 10.3% over the year.
Let us recall that on August 23, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided to extend the special preferential price for gas for heat producers and household consumers. This decision will be valid until April 30, 2025, that is, until the end of the next heating season.
