A low-speed air target crossed the state border within Kyiv and Zhytomyr regions.
An air raid alert was declared in Kyiv and the northern regions of Ukraine. The air target crossed the state border from the territory of Belarus, the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported on Tuesday, September 24.
“An air target (not high-speed) on the border of Kyiv and Zhytomyr regions crossed the state border from the territory of Belarus, to the south,” the message said.
At the same time, the monitoring channels reported that a plane had crossed the border.
“They write about a Yak-130 plane moving from Belarus in a southerly direction, maybe it escaped?”
The Yak-130 (according to NATO codification: Mitten – Mitten) is a Russian combat training aircraft developed by the Yakovlev Design Bureau together with the Italian company Aermacchi. Produced at the Irkutsk Aviation Plant. By 2023, Belarus will have 11 such aircraft at its disposal.
