Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with a bipartisan delegation from the US Congress.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, and members of the Senate Ben Cardin, Dan Sullivan, Christopher Murphy and member of the House of Representatives Gregory Meeks were present. The head of state spoke in detail about the situation at the front, the course of the operation in the Kursk region, the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the importance of timely delivery of weapons. This was reported by the President’s Office.
The parties separately discussed the victory plan that Zelensky plans to present to President Joe Biden and both presidential candidates, Donald Trump and Kamala Harris.
This is a very specific plan on how to strengthen Ukraine without any decisions or pressure from Russia. This plan does not depend on any decisions from Putin, Zelensky emphasized during the meeting.
Representatives of the Ukrainian government also discussed with American congressmen the prospects for implementing restoration projects. They noted the importance of strengthening the Ukrainian energy system and strengthening anti-Russian sanctions.
Let us recall that in the run-up to the elections, the British publication The Times published four points of the victory plan that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky plans to present in the United States.
