Russian aggressors do not stop attacking Ukraine’s energy sector. In the past 24 hours, targets were met in five regions, the Ministry of Energy reported on Saturday, September 21.

So, in the last 24 hours, due to shelling and fighting, power was cut in Dnepropetrovsk, Donetsk, Sumy, Kharkov and Kherson regions.

In particular, in the Donetsk region, as a result of shelling, overhead lines were damaged and a substation was de-energized.

In the Kharkov region, substations and household consumers were de-energized due to enemy shelling.

In the Poltava region, during an air raid, a high-voltage overhead line was killed and a substation de-energized.

A substation was attacked in the Dnepropetrovsk region. While the repairmen were inspecting it, the enemy crashed again from a drone. Another electrical safety electrician received a shrapnel wound. He was taken to the hospital.

In total, due to clashes and technical violations, until morning, 528 settlements remained partially or completely without power.

The Ministry of Energy does not predict a power outage on Saturday, but citizens are urged to continue consuming electricity economically and responsibly during peak hours – from 7:00 to 10:00 and from 18:00 to 22:00.

We remind you that after the large-scale Russian attack on August 26, a strict lockdown was implemented in Ukraine. The light situation has improved recently.

Meanwhile, the UN predicts that Ukrainians should expect power outages lasting up to 18 hours a day this winter.
