Russian dictator Vladimir Putin will not attend Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum’s inauguration. A designated representative will attend the ceremony in his place. This was announced by the director of the Latin American Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Alexander Shchetinin, RosSMI reported.
He said that Moscow was acting “in accordance with existing protocol practice and obligations” assigned to Putin.
It was noted that in August Putin was sent an official invitation to the inauguration of the president of Mexico, scheduled for October 1.
Let’s remember that Putin recently visited Mongolia. Mongolia explained that they did not arrest Putin on a warrant from the International Criminal Court because of energy dependence on Russia.
