The air quality in Kyiv has temporarily worsened.
The KMV press service reported this today, September 20, in the morning.
According to the capital’s Department of Environmental Protection, an increase in the concentration of suspended particles (dust) is recorded in the capital. The probable cause of fires in the ecosystems of the Kyiv region and meteorological conditions that contribute to the accumulation of harmful substances in the air, the report states.
In this situation, KMVA calls for:
- do not go outside unnecessarily and close the windows;
- if possible, avoid physical activity outdoors;
- drink lots of water.
Social media users report that smog is observed in Kyiv and the region.
