Rescue operations continue in Sumy after a Russian bomb hit a nursing home.
According to the information currently available, there were about 300 people in the building – more than 200 patients and 60 staff. This was stated in an evening video address by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
People are being evacuated and it is being checked whether there are people under the rubble. There are already known to be wounded, at least one person has died. My condolences. Russia could not have failed to know that this boarding house for the elderly is not a military base, not a military facility, he emphasized.
According to Zelensky, during the current day, September 19, Russian troops have already used almost 90 guided aerial bombs.
