Thus, 12 people died on September 17. The bombing on September 18 killed 25 people, all of them members of the Lebanese Hezbollah movement.
Another 2,750 people were injured, many seriously.

On September 18, a second wave of explosions began in Lebanon. Walkie-talkie radios used by Hezbollah members to communicate exploded.
Hezbollah blamed Israel for the bombings and vowed revenge.
