The Russian Federation army has again launched attacks on the Sumy region.
On Thursday, September 19, at night and in the morning, Russians carried out 19 attacks on border areas and settlements in Sumy Oblast. 38 explosions were recorded. The Sumy OVA reported this on Telegram.
The enemy fired 10 times at the Krasnopolskaya community from a multiple launch rocket system. As a result of the shelling, two civilians were wounded, and two more civilians were killed. At the same time, the prosecutor’s office reported three deaths – the victims were an elderly couple, and one of the wounded died in the hospital.
The Russians also fired mortars and attacked settlements in the Sumy, Bezdritskaya, Nikolayevskaya, Yunakovskaya, Belopolskaya, Velikopisarevskaya, Novoslobodskaya and Esman communities with CABs and FPV drones.
The OVA added that on September 18, the enemy attacked critical infrastructure facilities in Sumy. As a result of the air strike, power outages are possible in the city. Emergency rescue services are working to eliminate the consequences of the enemy attack.
Ukrenergo stated that the Russians attacked a power facility in the Sumy region at night. As a result, the city of Sumy and part of the Sumy region were de-energized. By the morning, all consumers had power again.
Let us recall that the Russian army struck the Zaporizhzhya district on the night of September 19. As a result of the shelling, one woman was killed and two more were injured. And the blast wave damaged private houses and property in the Komyshevskaya and Novoalexandrivskaya communities.
