The German government is allocating 50 million euros for the treatment of wounded Ukrainian soldiers.
We continue to stand firmly by Ukraine’s side. With this solution that we have now found, we are ensuring the security for the necessary medical treatment in Germany, said Federal Finance Minister Christian Lindner of the Free Democrats.
According to Interior Minister Nancy Feather, Germany has so far evacuated 1,173 seriously wounded and injured Ukrainian soldiers and civilians and provided them with assistance in German hospitals.
In future, the costs of inpatient treatment for war wounded will be processed and paid for without bureaucratic procedures by the Federal Office of Administration.
Earlier it was reported that Ukraine would receive 100 million euros in winter aid from Germany. This was announced on September 17 by Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock during her visit to the Republic of Moldova.
According to her, it is obvious that Russia is planning another “winter war with the aim of making life as terrible as possible for people in Ukraine.” The money will be used to survive the winter under Russian attacks.
Note that tonight Russian invaders struck a power facility in Sumy. There were no casualties or injuries, but the power system was damaged.
