46 strike UAVs shot down by Ukrainian air defense on the night of September 18 (INFOGRAPHICS)

    On the night of today, September 18, Russian invaders carried out another massive air attack on Ukraine.

    .

    This was reported by the press service of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

    It is noted that the enemy struck:

    • three guided aircraft missiles Kh-59/69 from the airspace of the occupied Kherson region;
    • 52 attack UAVs from the areas of the Russian cities of Kursk and Yeysk.

    Aviation, mobile fire groups and

    Electronic warfare units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces:

    • As a result of the anti-aircraft battle, 46 attack UAVs were shot down;
    • Due to active counteraction by the Defense Forces’ electronic warfare systems, five UAVs were lost, and another one flew to Russia;
    • As a result of the counteraction, the guided aircraft missiles did not reach the enemy’s desired targets;
    • There is damage to agricultural machinery, but there are no casualties or injuries.

    Air defense was in operation in Mykolaiv, Kherson, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Sumy and Poltava regions, the Air Force noted.
