Sumy blackout after Russian attack: power supply restored by 80%

After the nighttime drone attack in the Sumy region, electrical engineers fully restored the power supply in Konotop, and in the Sumy region – by 80%. This was announced by the head of OVA Vladimir Artyukh in a telethon on Tuesday, September 17.

According to the official, power engineers worked throughout the night and managed to restore the power supply to 100% in Konotop and the surrounding area.

“In the Sumy district of Sumy, the energy supply has been restored by 80%,” added Artyukh.

Work is still ongoing on the consequences of drone attacks, and indestructibility points are running in cities.

We remind you that at night the Russians launched a massive UAV strike on Sumy and energy facilities in Konotop, Akhtyrsky and Sumy regions. Air defense forces shot down 16 suicide bombers in the Sumy region.

In total, the air defense forces destroyed 34 kamikaze drones out of 51 launched by Russian troops, 12 UAVs were lost in the local area, and two more returned to Russia.
