Residents of the temporarily occupied Donbass now have to pay for services that are almost never provided in practice.
In the temporarily occupied Donetsk region, the Russians announced an “innovative idea.” Now people have to pay utility bills. The Center for National Resistance (CNS) reported this on Monday, September 16.
It is noted that from October 1, 2024, the Donbass post office will start charging commissions when receiving payments for housing and communal services. In this regard, residents of the occupied territory have to pay 1.5% more, and for services that are practically not provided in practice.
“Moreover, the commission in any case should be at least 20 Russian banknotes. The invaders did not explain what caused this improvement,” the message said.
In Donetsk, temporarily occupied by the Russians, there are still water problems. However, residents still receive payment receipts.
In the temporarily occupied Melitopol in Zaporozhye, the Russian military, together with representatives of the local “administration,” are conducting raids to identify areas whose owners have not submitted “title documents” for housing. Occupiers confiscated “unmanaged” property.
