In Kyiv, a 16-year-old student set fire to a car that volunteers had purchased for the military.
He himself came from the Cherkasy region to carry out a series of arson attacks on military vehicles in the capital, the Security Service of Ukraine reported on September 16.
For a “test” task, he burned an SUV that volunteers had purchased for one of the combat brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces fighting on the eastern front.
To “report” to the occupiers, the arsonist filmed the fire on camera, hoping for “easy money” in the amount of $1,000. However, he never received the money.
In Donetsk region, a resident of Kramatorsk was detained, who also wanted to “earn” money by setting fire to Defense Forces vehicles.
Immediately after the first attempt to destroy the Ukrainian soldier’s SUV, the Security Service detained the young man and confiscated the arson equipment from him.
Despite their young age, those arrested face up to 8 years in prison.
Meanwhile, the SBU detained a Russian agent in Odessa who spied on mobile air defense groups and the “Lyut” assault brigade. The detainee’s name is Yegor Eremin.
