Ukrainian railway workers emphasized that they were accepting passengers who missed their flights due to unprecedented bad weather onto other flights to fill any available seats.

Ukrzaliznytsia has updated data on the situation on railways due to flooding in Poland, the Czech Republic and Austria. Ukrzaliznytsia announced changes to train traffic on Monday, September 16.

It is indicated that the peak of bad weather in Austria is expected today – tomorrow, so traffic will not resume soon, train stations and the metro will be partially closed in the near future.

“The flight Vienna – Kyiv – Vienna, at least on Monday, will run as Budapest – Kyiv – Budapest,” Ukrainian railway workers warned.

Passengers with tickets to Vienna are asked to contact the information and service point for free accommodation and food during bad weather.

Also indicated:

  • The flight Chop – Vienna – Chop has been canceled as of today due to the impossibility of leaving Vienna.

  • Flights Prague – Przemysl – Prague have not yet passed through the flooded area on the border of the Czech Republic and Poland. Today, shuttle traffic is expected from Prague to the Polish border and from Przemysl to the Czech border, with bus service around the flooded area.

  • Flights from/to Warsaw, Chelm, Przemysl, Kosice, Budapest, Zahony are operating unchanged.

We remind you that due to the floods in Poland and the Czech Republic, some flights have been temporarily cancelled. This also applies to trains traveling in Ukraine.
