The German publication Bild has spread disinformation about a “plan for Ukraine’s victory.”
Bild wrote that President Volodymyr Zelensky is ready to offer Russia a ceasefire on part of the front, but his adviser denied this.
Bild has spread a fake. Bild has not seen the victory plan, and none of the few people who are currently involved with the president in preparing the victory plan have spoken to Bild. No one will give Minsk-3 or any other format to the Russians. Ukraine is against any freezing of the war, and this is being said at all levels of Ukrainian government. And it is important for us that the United States support the Ukrainian Victory Plan, not capitulation or freezing, said Dmitry Litvin, the president’s communications adviser.
The Bild publication spoke of Kyiv’s readiness to accept a local ceasefire in certain areas of the front.
According to the German publication, Kyiv’s strategy includes both a demand to allow the use of Western long-range weapons deep into Russia and Ukraine’s readiness to agree to a local ceasefire in certain areas of the front.
Zelensky now wants to put all his eggs in one basket and try to achieve a turning point on the battlefield. For this, he absolutely needs a decision from President Biden, said military expert Carlo Masala of the Bundeswehr University in Munich.
His colleague Nico Lange from the Centre for European Policy stresses that in order to implement the plan, Ukraine’s partners must begin not only to promise, but also to fulfill their announced promises on arms supplies.
Many partners continue to announce deliveries and celebrate them. But these deliveries do not come here at all. Or they come very slowly. And if the Patriot systems are mentioned again and again, but they are not here, then people die, Lange noted.
