The Netherlands will not be able to provide Ukraine with the Patriot air defense system due to the refusal of one of its allies.
NL Times writes about this.
In late June, the Netherlands, together with an unnamed country, announced the supply of Patriots to Ukraine. However, it has now become known that the ally has withdrawn from this agreement.
The required components for a complete Patriot system have already been assembled. The Netherlands has provided three launchers and a radar, with the rest to be supplied by an ally, the Dutch Defense Ministry said earlier.
Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans said the Netherlands had already handed over a radar to Ukraine and would soon send three launchers. They were currently looking for another ally to supply the remaining components.
We continue to work in this direction. Negotiations are ongoing with several partners, Brekelmans noted.
