Four arsonists-agents of the Russian Federation were detained in the Odessa region

Three of those detained are minors; among them two residents of Odessa, one resident of the Izmail region and one immigrant from the Luhansk region.

The Security Service of Ukraine and the National Police detained four more henchmen of the Russian special services who ordered an arson attack on minibuses and SUVs of the Defense Forces in the Odessa region. The SBU reported this on its Telegram channel on Friday, September 13.

“The invaders lured two residents of Odessa, an immigrant from the Luhansk region and a resident of the Izmail region by the Russian special services.

After the arson, the attackers recorded the fire on the cameras of their own phones and sent a “report” to the representatives of the Russian special services… The defendants destroyed 6 official cars of the protector of Ukraine, but did not receive the promised money from the invaders,” the report said.

The SBU detained the attackers “hot on their heels” in various places in the Odessa region.

The investigators of the Security Service informed the detainees of suspicion under the following articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:

• Obstructing the legitimate activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations during a special period (part 2 of article 28, part 1 of article 114-1 of the Criminal Code);

• Intentional damage to property committed by arson (Part 2 of Article 194 of the Criminal Code).

The perpetrators are in custody and face 8 to 10 years in prison.

Earlier, four arsonists of military vehicles were detained in Kyiv and Khmelnitsky.

The SBU also detained three henchmen of the Russian Federation who set fire to official vehicles of the Defense Forces in the Donetsk region.
