Suspicion was reported to the ex-head of the Dnepropetrovsk Regional State Administration, the ex-deputy head, the ex-head of the department and two other officials.
The ex-chairman of the Dnepropetrovsk Regional Administration, Valentin Reznichenko, was informed of the suspicion of possible involvement in a corruption scheme during the repair of roads in the region, which resulted in damage worth more than UAH 286 million. This was reported by the SAP press service on September 12.
Suspicion was also reported to the ex-deputy chairman of the Dnepropetrovsk Regional State Administration, the former head of the department of the Dnepropetrovsk Regional State Administration, the former head of the road department of the Dnepropetrovsk Regional State Administration, and the head of a business entity.
Reportedly, in 2022, the law implemented under martial law allowed priority funding for operational maintenance of highways, and costs for current and major road repairs are only possible as a last resort.
In order to obtain priority funding, the suspects replaced in the relevant documents information about the need for routine and major repairs of roads with the need for their operational maintenance.
The costs of such services artificially and unreasonably increased to 1.5 billion Hryvnia. For this amount, contracts were concluded to carry out the relevant work with a company associated with the head of the Dnepropetrovsk Regional State Administration, which increased the cost of materials by more than UAH 286 million.
The defendants subsequently transferred some of these funds to the accounts of other companies associated with the officer and his deputy.
Remind you that the head of the capital utility company and the contractor were exposed to the theft of 4.7 million Hryvnias during the road repair in the Solomensky district of Kyiv.
Earlier in the Dnepropetrovsk region, the theft of seven million in road repairs was exposed.
