Chicago wheat futures rose to $5.9175 a bushel, the highest since July 2024.

Wheat futures rose 2.2% after Ukraine said a Russian missile hit a grain tanker in the Black Sea as the ship left Ukrainian territorial waters. Bloomberg reported this.

It noted that wheat futures on the Chicago Stock Exchange rose to $5.9175 a bushel, the highest since July 2024.

Let’s remember that on September 12, Russia attacked a civilian cargo ship in the Black Sea carrying wheat for Egypt.

As reported, Ukraine has increased the volume of grain exports compared to last year and now, on average, 7 million tons are exported monthly.
