Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s office and the Hamas group have confirmed their “readiness” to agree to a ceasefire agreement.
Israel and Hamas have declared their readiness to implement the cease-fire agreement in the Gaza Strip. This was reported by The Times of Israel in connection with the office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
“Israel expressed its consent to agree to the proposed US agreement on a cease-fire and exchange of hostages,” the statement said.
The report also states that Israel, for its part, “accepted the proposal for a transition from conflict to the achievement of peace” made by the United States on August 16, while Hamas rejected the proposal and at the same time kill six captives.
Hamas chief negotiator Khalil al-Hayya met with Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani and Egyptian intelligence chief Abbas Kamel on Wednesday, September 11.
The parties discussed a truce in the Gaza Strip and a potential exchange of hostages and prisoners, representatives of the militants said.
French broadcaster France24 said that after a meeting with Qatari and Egyptian mediators in Doha on Wednesday, the militant group Hamas confirmed its “willingness” to agree to a ceasefire proposed by US President Joe Biden in May.
