Today, September 11, Russian invaders shelled the city of Konstantinovka in Donetsk region.
As a result, three people were killed and five more were injured, the press service of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported.
It is noted that:
- the enemy shelled the city with cannon artillery for 20 minutes. Two neighbors, aged 73 and 81, received injuries incompatible with life as a result of the weapons hitting the private sector in the courtyard of one of the houses;
- After some time, Russian military forces struck the settlement again, probably with a Smerch MLRS, hitting a residential area. A 45-year-old woman died in the courtyard of her home, and five more civilians – three men aged 54 and 79, as well as city women aged 45 and 60 – were injured to varying degrees of severity.
The victims were taken to a medical facility with mine-explosive and craniocerebral injuries, shrapnel wounds, lacerations and a fracture. They are currently receiving emergency medical care. Two of the victims are a married couple, whose condition is assessed by doctors as serious, the prosecutor’s office said.
More than 20 private and apartment buildings, retail establishments, power lines and vehicles were also damaged.
A pre-trial investigation has been initiated into criminal proceedings on the facts of violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code).
