Customs sent 3,624 cases of violation of customs rules worth about UAH 16.3 billion to the court for consideration.
In January-August this year, Ukrainian customs officials have already discovered 6,502 violations of customs rules worth UAH 16.7 billion. The cost almost doubled compared to the same period in 2023. This was reported by the press service of the State Customs Service on Tuesday, September 10.
Thus, in 1,905 cases of violation of customs rules, items of offenses worth UAH 371 million were temporarily seized.
In 2,056 cases of violation of customs rules, customs imposed administrative punishment in the form of a fine in the amount of UAH 55.7 million, of which UAH 53 million was collected from the State Budget.
While customs sent 3,624 cases of violation of customs rules worth about UAH 16.3 billion to the court for consideration. Based on the results of consideration of cases by the courts, especially those initiated in recent times, sanctions were imposed (confiscation of goods and fines) in the amount of almost UAH 1.7 billion.

Customs officials also prevented the illegal export out of Ukraine of ancient fossils, mollusks aged 145-149 million years, which have cultural and scientific value.
