Yield loss of late grains and industrial crops may reach 10-15%, but there is no export threat.
In Ukraine, a possible loss of 10-15% of the harvest of late grain and industrial crops is expected due to unfavorable conditions. This is what Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Vitaly Koval said in a telethon.
“We had small losses in the first grain crops, but in the final grains and industrial crops the losses are slightly greater, we expect 10%-15%, due to the stage of plant growth, we suffered: sunflower, corn, buckwheat and. above all soybean”, said Koval.
He said there were no export threats.
We remind you that farmers from all regions of Ukraine, during the harvest of early grain and leguminous crops from fields, have already threshed 28.528 million tons of new crops from 7.302 million hectares.
It was also reported that the export limit for wheat and a mixture of wheat and rye was agreed at 16.2 million tonnes in the 2024/2025 marketing year.
