Ukraine repelled a massive Russian drone attack. On the night of September 10, the enemy launched an Iskander-M ballistic missile attack from occupied Crimea and an Kh-31P anti-radar missile from the airspace over the Black Sea. In addition, 46 Shahed-type attack UAVs were launched from Russian Kursk and Yeysk. The Ukrainian Air Force reported this on Telegram.
Air defense operated in Vinnytsia, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Kirovograd, Nikolaev, Odessa, Kherson, Cherkasy, Sumy, Dnepropetrovsk, Kharkov, Zaporizhia and Poltava regions. It was possible to shoot down 38 “Shakheds”.
The Air Force noted that three Russian drones left Ukrainian airspace under its control, one in the direction of Russia, two in the direction of occupied Luhansk region. Three more enemy UAVs were lost on Ukrainian territory.
It is noted that the air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, mobile fire groups and electronic warfare units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
Let us recall that on September 9, the Russians launched drones from the Kursk region of Russia, which attacked Kyiv. The loitering munitions entered the capital after midnight, in several waves, but this attack was repelled.
