The land plots were sold at a lower book price, which, accordingly, led to the loss of the bank’s assets in the amount of more than UAH 5 million.
The prosecutor’s office reported suspicions to the head of one of the departments of the National Bank for official negligence during the sale of the bank’s property, which involved serious consequences for the interests of the state protected of the law. This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office on Monday, September 9.
According to investigative materials, in 2021 the NBU took ownership of the property mortgaged by an individual, including land plots located in the Kyiv region. Their total area is more than 15 hectares, the cost is almost 9 million UAH.
Already in 2022, the NBU Board approved the conditions for the sale of this property and land plots.
In this regard, the suspect must ensure the control and verification of the value of the plots of land and the terms of sale.
The plots must be sold at the price determined during the appraisal. At the same time, it was noted that the plots were put up for sale at a lower book price.
Accordingly, this led to the loss of bank assets worth more than UAH 5 million.
Let’s recall that the heads of the three state grain purchasing enterprises organized a scheme for the creation of artificial debt of state-owned companies. As a result, they suffered losses of almost 70 million hryvnias.
