Currently, power engineers are trying to equip the first and second level of physical protection of energy facilities as soon as possible.
In Ukraine, overhead power lines can be moved underground to protect them from stripping. Deputy Energy Minister Nikolai Kolesnik spoke about this in a telethon on Sunday, September 8.
According to Kolesnik, this is one of the possible options.
“Today, a large number of technical solutions and projects for the physical protection of energy infrastructure facilities have been developed to provide them,” he said.
Currently, power engineers are trying to equip the first and second level of physical protection of energy facilities as soon as possible.
“Despite the enemy’s continued attacks on civilian energy infrastructure facilities, electrical engineers continue to restore damaged facilities and create additional systems to protect these facilities,” added Kolesnik.
We previously reported that the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs will give Ukraine 4.7 million euros to restore damaged energy facilities in the Kharkov and Nikolaev regions.
It was also found that during the autumn-winter season in Ukraine, according to the optimistic scenario, power outages are possible for up to 12 hours a day, and according to the pessimistic scenario, up to 20 hours.
