Russian kamikaze drones violate Romanian airspace again.
On the night of September 8, during an attack on Ukraine, at about 2:50 a.m., a group of attack UAVs flew into Romanian airspace. In addition, due to the drone attack, an air raid alert was declared in the Odessa region. One of the drone groups was flying to the city of Vilkovo, which is located on the border with Romania. The Ukrainian Air Force reported this on Telegram.
Around 3:00, information appeared that one of the “Shaheds” was flying in the Sabangia area on Romanian territory. And already at 3:40, it left Romanian territory, flying through Vilkovo and continued moving in the coastal waters of the Odessa sea.
According to the Romanian media Digi24, last night the residents of Tulcea and Constanta received a notification from the Ro-Alert system, which warned them about the threat of falling dangerous objects. Romania has not yet officially responded to the attack of the “Shaheds”.
Let us recall that Russian drones regularly fly into Romanian territory during attacks on Ukraine. In particular, on July 31, new fragments of enemy UAVs were discovered in the Tulcea region near the village of Chatalchioi. The Romanian Defense Ministry then stated that they condemned the Russian attacks because they were “unjustified and seriously contrary to international law.”
