The MQ-9 Reaper drone allegedly carried out “hostile actions” in the airspace of Marib province.
The Yemeni Houthis apparently managed to shoot down another American MQ-9 Reaper reconnaissance and attack drone. This is what Houthi official Yahya Sari said yesterday.
“Yemen’s air defense forces shot down an American MQ-9 Reaper drone that was conducting hostile operations in the airspace of Marib province,” he said.
According to Sari, this appears to be the eighth American drone of this type to be shot down in Yemeni territory.
We remind you that in April of this year, an MQ-9 Reaper drone crashed off the coast of Yemen. The Houthis said they shot down a UAV worth up to $30 million.
