At any cost, the Russians are trying to show that they are achieving their goal, no matter what, said the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate.
Considering the events that took place on the front in August, Russia almost stopped the offensive in all sectors except the direction of the main attack. This was stated by the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kirill Budanov, in an interview with Radio Charter.
“We said it earlier, that the pressure of the Russians will be maximum until August, the plans will be changed: it may continue a little, or there will be a suspension in August, many other events took place The Russians at the same time have stopped the offensive in almost all sectors, except for the main direction of the strike, they now have the opposite logic, as they say, starting to work: to show at any cost that they are achieving their goal, no matter what. , so they threw everything they had there,” he said.
Budanov noted that all events are determined by some algorithms, force majeure is very rare, people do not always know about these algorithms, but in fact everything happens as predicted.
The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate added that in winter the Russians “don’t want to fight like that.”
“Even a conventional war has problems in fighting nature; it does not mean that in the winter they will abandon their attempts to put some kind of pressure on us,” he said.
Let’s recall that on September 5, the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Alexander Syrsky said that the Ukrainian troops were able to stop the advance of the Russians in the direction of Pokrovsky.
President Vladimir Zelensky noted that the situation in the Pokrovsky direction in the past few days is “better,” but it is necessary to wait for stabilization.
