In Russia, a drone attack caused a fire at an ammunition depot near Voronezh, and authorities announced the evacuation of several villages.
Residents of the village of Soldatskoye in the Ostrogozhsky District, where the warehouse is located, are being evacuated, and a state of emergency has been declared in the district. This is reported by Russian media and Telegram channels.
Voronezh Region Governor Alexander Gusev announced that an “unmanned aerial vehicle” was “discovered and suppressed” in the Ostrogozhsk region.
According to preliminary data, there are no casualties. However, as a result of the UAV crash, a fire broke out, which spread to explosive objects. Detonation began, he noted.
At first, Gusev announced the evacuation of residents of one of the villages “to a neighboring settlement,” but later added that several villages would be evacuated, without specifying which ones.
Videos have already appeared on Telegram channels showing the fire and accompanying explosions. According to an eyewitness, the detonation lasts for several hours.
