The Netherlands plans to provide Ukraine with equipment and materials for the maintenance of Ukrainian F-16 fighter jets, as well as air-to-air missiles. This was stated by the Minister of Defense of the Netherlands Ruben Brekelmans. At a meeting of the Contact Group on the Defense of Ukraine, held at the Ramstein airbase in Germany, he announced the aid to Ukraine, according to the website of the Dutch Ministry of Defense.
“F-16 aircraft need additional maintenance and spare parts, otherwise they will not be able to fly. The Netherlands will provide everything needed for 80 million euros. In addition to a large number of spare parts, including here are generators, large-scale vehicles, basic maintenance equipment, special tools and ladders. With the help of air-to-air missiles, Ukraine can shoot down enemy aircraft, “said the minister.
We remind you that the other day the Prime Minister of the Netherlands Dick Schof announced the provision of an aid package to Ukraine worth more than 200 million euros.
It has also been reported that the Netherlands is buying dozens of mobile radars for Ukraine. They will move in at the end of this year.
In addition, the Netherlands is allocating 300 million euros for F-16 ammunition for Ukraine.
