China cannot continue to fuel Europe’s biggest military conflict without consequences, NATO’s secretary general has warned.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg called on China to stop supporting Russia in its war of conquest against Ukraine. He said this during his visit to Norway at a press conference in Oslo on Friday, September 6.

“I call on China to stop supporting Russia’s illegal war. China cannot continue to fuel the largest military conflict in Europe without consequences for Beijing’s interests and reputation,” he threatened.

Stoltenberg said that Russia’s war against Ukraine shows that “our security is not regional, but global.”

“Iran and North Korea provide drones, ammunition, and China has become a decisive neighbor in Russia’s war against Ukraine through its endless cooperation and support for the Russian military industry,” said NATO Secretary General.

Earlier this week, China made a statement about a multipolar world. Beijing also promotes comprehensive economic globalization.
