Snake Island, located in the northwestern part of the Black Sea, today, June 30, was freed from Russian kafirs.
An important role in the liberation of the island was played by the new Ukrainian 155-mm Bogdan self-propelled howitzer. This was announced in his Telgeram channel by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny.
Bogdan has participated in a unique special operation to liberate the Snake Island for the last ten days, ex-People’s Deputy Sergei Pashinsky, Chairman of the Committee on National Security and Defense in the Parliament of the previous convocation, said on his Facebook page.
It was the Bogdan, together with the artillery provided to us by Western partners, and other types of weapons, that attacked the island! It proved to be worthy, no worse than NATO artillery! Destroyed the enemy “Shell” and other types of weapons! Pashinsky emphasizes.
According to him, the need to develop such a NATO-caliber 155-mm cannon, capable of giving our gunners an advantage in artillery systems, became apparent in 2014-2015, after Ilovaisk and Debaltseve.
Back then, in those “hybrid” years, our Western partners were in no hurry to arm Ukraine. But for an advantage in an artillery duel, we needed exactly 155 mm NATO howitzers, which are capable of hitting the enemy at a distance of up to 42 km, being outside the enemy artillery destruction zone, Pashinsky notes.
It is noted that in 2018 the Bogdan was paraded for the first time, and in 2019 it was ready for state tests, but later its implementation was slowed down for a long time.
The situation changed only in 2021, when Valery Zaluzhny and Oleksiy Reznikov headed the Ukrainian defense sector, Pashinsky notes. – In the fall of 2021, tests of the Bogdana began. And ended a month and a half before the start of a full-scale invasion.
According to Pashinsky, the only instance of “Bogdana” was evacuated after the first explosions on February 24 and sent to combat work.
I hope that the dismissal of Zmeiny is only the beginning of the golden page of our “Bogdana,” sums up Pashinsky. “Own Ukrainian weapons are the guarantee of our independence and sovereignty!”
Recall that Russian infidels call their escape from Zmeinoye a “gesture of goodwill.”
