Two Russian kamikaze drones from the Chernigov region entered the Gomel region on the territory of Belarus.
On the night of September 5, the Belarusian military scrambled fighter jets to shoot down several suicide bombers who entered the Gomel region of Belarus from the Chernigov region of Ukraine. This was reported by the Belarusian Gayun monitoring group.
It was noted that the first fighter of the Republic of Belarus Air Force took off from Baranovichi at around 22:50 and was flying in the sky over the Gomel region at the time when Russia started launching suicide bombs across Ukraine.
At about 01:08, two Russian kamikaze drones from the Chernigov region entered the Gomel region on the territory of Belarus.
According to Gayun, the “martyrs” were moving in the direction of Gomel, and at 01:30 another fighter was removed from the Baranovichi airfield. Later, at 01:34 and 01:36, two explosions were heard in the Gomel region. According to preliminary data, people heard and saw anti-drone activity in the sky.
It was also reported that at 02:20 a second fighter of the Belarusian Air Force scrambled from Baranovichi, after which it was learned about another “martyr” who entered Belarus at about 02:28 and was moving in the direction of Khoiniki. A fighter jet also did it.
Another fighter took off from Baranavichy at 03:10. Another “martyr” entered the Gomel region on the way to Bragin.
Earlier it was reported that in Belarus, for the first time, aviation was used to shoot down a Russian suicide bomber that flew into the country during the Russian attack on Ukraine.
We remind you that on the night of August 27, at least six kamikaze drones of the “shahed” type flew over the territory of Belarus.
