Ukraine won gold and two silver medals at the 2024 Paralympics

    Ukraine won gold and silver medals at the 2024 Paralympic Games.

    Flippers Yaroslav Denisenko and Maksim Veraksa won awards in the 100m freestyle in the S12 class. Denisenko became the champion thanks to his snatch in the final of the two pools. This is his first Paralympic “gold” in his career. This was reported on September 4 by “Obshchestvennoe Sport”.

    Veraksa lost to his compatriot by only 0.53 seconds, but received a silver medal.

    Ukrainian swimmer Anna Stetsenko also won silver in the 100m freestyle in the S12 class. In total, this athlete has already won two medals at this Paralympic Games, both in one competition day. She won bronze in the 400m freestyle.

    At the Paralympic Games in Paris, Ukraine won 10 gold and 18 silver medals.

    Let us recall that on September 2, at the Paralympic Games in Paris, the Ukrainian team won two more golds. Denis Ostapchenko and Igor Tsvetov became Paralympic champions.
