No accidents occurred at the South Ukrainian Nuclear Power Plant, Energoatom stated.
Earlier, sources of ZN.UA and LIGA.net in the energy market reported that due to problems, two units of two nuclear power plants are not operating at full capacity.
However, Energoatom reported that a defect was detected in the operation of one of the power units of the station, after which it was unloaded by 33% of its nominal capacity. The company notes that the event is not related to the repair campaign.
The comments will be corrected after Ukrenergo specialists ensure the possibility of electricity distribution.
Energoatom notes that the event is not related to the repair campaign, but was provoked by Russian shelling of infrastructure.
The day before, the director of the Center for Energy Research, Alexander Kharchenko, wrote that there was an accident at the South Ukrainian NPP, so the 600 MW power unit reduced output. This led to longer power outages.
