In Lviv, the number of victims as a result of the night missile strike has risen to 45, including seven children.
So far, seven people are known to have died, three of them children.
45 patients were taken to the hospitals of the First Medical Association of Lviv, 11 of them in critical condition. Among the seven hospitalized children, there are no “serious” ones, the Lviv City Council added.
The search and rescue operation continues.
The authorities also reported that at least seven local architectural monuments were damaged in the night attack in Lviv, in particular on Konovalets and Kokorudza streets.
All houses are located in the historical area and buffer zone of UNESCO, and are also included in the state register of immovable monuments of Ukraine.
In particular, as a result of the night attack in Lviv, the regional Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Center was damaged on Konovalets Street. In the historic villa of Jozefa Franzi in 1893, more than 70 windows with frames were knocked out. In six offices, the ceiling fell, radiators were torn off, and computers and medical equipment were destroyed. There were no casualties or injuries in the center, said OVA chief Maksym Kozitsky.
Also, as a result of the night shelling in Lviv, three schools and a creativity center were damaged. This was reported by the head of the Lviv education department, Andriy Zakalyuk.
