Latvia transferred another 18 cars to Ukraine that were confiscated for drunk driving

Latvia will give Ukraine free of charge another 18 cars confiscated for drunk driving. Delfi reported it.

The total preliminary market value of the 18 vehicles transferred to Ukraine is 94,680 euros.

It is noted that more than a quarter of this amount is the 2017 Audi Q7 (preliminary market value of 25 thousand euros).

As is known, in Latvia, for driving a car by a driver whose body has an alcohol content higher than 1.5 ppm or is under narcotic, psychotropic, toxic or other intoxication, criminal liability is provided. In addition to the fine, the car was confiscated.

We remind you that earlier the Latvian government decided to transfer 20 cars confiscated from drunk drivers to Ukraine free of charge. The total preliminary market value of vehicles transferred to Ukraine is 117,640 euros.

Last year, Latvia handed over to Ukraine more than 270 cars confiscated from drunk drivers, totaling 1 million euros.
