Following the Russian attack on Poltava, the President of Latvia called for the lifting of all restrictions on Ukraine’s use of Western weapons.

    .

Edgars Rinkēvičs published this statement on the social network X.

He noted that permission for long-range strikes would not mean escalation, but would help save civilian lives.

The restrictions on Ukraine to use all weapons against Russia must be lifted. This is not about escalation, but about the lives of innocent people, he stressed.

Russia plunders 41 people and loses 180 in a bad blow in Poltava. Once: the restrictions contained in Ukraine can use all kinds against Russia must be deprived. This is not a final appeal, it is about the opposite foreign people.

In Poltava, as of 18:00 on September 3, there were already 49 dead from the Russian strike. There were 219 injured. Rescuers continue to clear the rubble.

In the morning, Russian troops hit the Poltava Institute of Communications and the hospital nearby with ballistic missiles. People did not have time to move to shelter – many ended up under the rubble.
